I said I would, so I am

Okay, so I went a couple of days without posting.  But, I've been busy...

School was great.  Dr. Vaccaro is EXACTLY the same and it is great.  The class will be a total breeze, not a paper to write or anything.  Three tests that are worth 75% and attendance  25%.  I'm ready for my A!

So, my good friend Suzy has gotten me into REALLY expensive jeans.  Every time we go shopping, I try on 2-3 pairs of new, slightly more expensive jeans.  I'm addicted!  I've purchased two pairs in the past 4 months and now I want MORE!  What do I do to stop?  Who am I kidding?  I don't want to stop.

Jamie and I are ready to move.  Our electric bills are outrageous here and it just ridiculous to pay what we are paying here with rent and electric bills, for that we could have a 3 bedroom house.  So, I think when our lease is up, we will be making another move.  To where?  I have no idea.  We want to stay in this general area, but that may not be an option.  There aren't many houses for rent in this area and if there are, they may not be around when we are ready to rent.  We'll see.  We miss this kids like crazy and need to find a place that might be better suited for long term guests.

Hannah likes rocks.  She found one when we went for our walk at Trinity Park and kissed it this morning while sitting on the sofa with me.  It was adorable.

More to come... Keep coming back, to all my 2 possibly 3 readers!

Let me...

I stay away from this thing for way too long... I can't explain why.  I promise to be here more often.  That is until I get a job and get a life.

I've been busy with twelve straight weeks of summer school which totally kicked my ass.  I passed both of my classes.  Spanish 3 & 4, A B in 3 and a C in 4.  Foreign language is so hard for me.  Blah!  But, I'm done and I'm glad.  But, I learned that I still have one class to take.  It was heart breaking.  I was blown away, I still am.  I have registered for my last class, which actually starts tomorrow, with my old professor Dr. Vaccaro.  I'm looking forward to it, but I am not ready for the stress.  I'm currently looking for a job, just something to get me out of the house and put some cash in my pocket.  I'm ready to be around people and I think Hannah is ready to be in school.  I will miss her, but I'm not sending her off just yet, I have to find a job first.  Blah!  Looking for a job is the worst...

So, news... I got back on myspace.  Who cares!  Thought we might be invited to things more often and it has shown to be worth it.  Had a dance night out with the girls, Jamie and Sean.  It was great.  Just what the dancing doctor ordered.  I have been watching a bunch of movies.  I would talk about those, but nothing noteworthy enough, or nothing that I can recall at this moment.

Jamie and I have had some much needed time together.  It has been lovely.  I can't tell you how happy I am...

Hannah is growing like a weed.  She will be two in a little over a month.  I can't believe it.  We are working on birthday plans, but it is a slow go.  Going to meet with my good friend Robbie to help me tweak some things.  Robbie is a great party planner, she made Hannah's first birthday part invitation and it was so cute.  So, more details as we nail down some ideas.

I'm all tuckered out now.  Going to settle in for the night.  More tomorrow and the next couple of days on vegan cooking, vegan cupcakes, Nienie, friends or shall I say shitty friends, moving, tattoos, expensive jeans, vests, fringe boots, Charlotte Gainsborough, scooters, decorating, chores, happiness, anger, and love...

I can't believe it!

I can't believe it is July already.  The year is half over.  Christmas will be here before both you and I know it.

Here is Hannah, Paislee and Jame-o on the fourth.

This is Jamie on the 4th.  I love this man.

I'm totally that gal...

That drives 55-60 MPH on the freeway.  ON EVERY FREEWAY!  I have large hoopty cars from the early 80's passing me.  Priests and 80-year old men pass me.  At night I drive with my windows down to save gas.  And all I can say is... IT SUCKS!  I'm saving gas though, but IT STILL SUCKS!  Going 65 is like a treat.  It's like getting the large Caramel Frappacino at the end of the week.  Which actually, I don't even get the large Caramel Frappacino anymore.  That is a treat on top of a treat.  And both of those treats aren't happening in my life.  My Spanish class starts at 8 P.M., in South Arlington (TCC Southeast campus), so I leave here at 7:10-7:15.  I get to class like 10 minutes early, so it basically takes me 40 minutes to go from Fort Worth (Rosedale and 35) to Southeast Arlington.  I used to drive from Fort Worth to Dallas in 45 minutes.  So, yeah...

My veganess is not coming along so well.  It is CHEESE!  What am I supposed to put on my chalupa or my taco or my flauta.  It is driving me crazy.  That fake cheese shit, just isn't right.  I can't do it.  We'll see what happens.  I'll keep ya posted.

There has been so much going on around here... I don't want to blow my "load" all in one post.  So, I'll say a few tidbits that are fresh in my mind...

Hannah may be ready to start potty training.  Unfortunately, I don't know if we are ready.
Saw an old acquaintance last weekend, she lives in San Francisco and the thing we talked about most was the weather.  Needless to say, it is way better than anything Texas has to offer.  Jacket-wearing weather, pretty much everyday.  This is something to look into...

On the table for our future is ECAP, an alt. certification program to teach in Texas.  Could be teaching by the time school starts.  Still in the works.

Also, the possibility, a very large possibility that teaching English as a Foreign Language in another part of the world is what is pressing on my mind.  A lot of research to do with this one.  Working with my Spanish Professor to help direct me... More on this as things unravel.

Our 10-year (dating) Anniversary is next Friday, the 27th.  All plans are under wraps.  He'll crack.  Whatever it is, it doesn't matter.  Just us having dinner (without Hannah), a movie, ice cream (that I don't have to share), and uninterrupted conversation will be way worth it.

Jenny and I made Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies last Friday.  They were so good.

Ambien is oh so good.  Sleeping is good too.  Hasn't been much of that going on around here.  I think I need to relax, easier said than done.

I think that is all for now...

Happiness in dirt

Jamie sent me this link. It made me happy.

It was just one of those things

After Jamie and I spent our dinner on our "stoop" enjoying a loving meal, which consisted of Spanikopita, hummus, pita and falafel (the falafel was mostly for Jamie), we decided to watch a movie.  I let Jamie pick, it may have been his turn.  I wasn't sure, but I let him pick because I know it makes him happy.  He chose a documentary, which one was the problem.  We settled on Earthlings.  I'm not sure who recommended it, but we thought it would be good.  I vaguely remember reading about it with Jamie and we thought, "It sounded interesting."

I would almost say, "If you love animals, DON'T watch it!"  But, then when I really think about it, "If you love animals, you SHOULD watch it."  I have never seen anything more moving, eye-opening, outrageous, revolting, painful, tearful or sad.  I cried like a baby in the first fifteen minutes.  I left the room twice and was convinced that I "Couldn't watch anymore," more times than I thought possible in an hour and a half movie.  I made it through it and once it was over and we put the computer away, he said, "I'm proud that you made it through all of it."

Here check it out.  I'm warning you, have a box of tissue near you.  You will need it.
