I can't believe it!

I can't believe it is July already.  The year is half over.  Christmas will be here before both you and I know it.

Here is Hannah, Paislee and Jame-o on the fourth.

This is Jamie on the 4th.  I love this man.

I'm totally that gal...

That drives 55-60 MPH on the freeway.  ON EVERY FREEWAY!  I have large hoopty cars from the early 80's passing me.  Priests and 80-year old men pass me.  At night I drive with my windows down to save gas.  And all I can say is... IT SUCKS!  I'm saving gas though, but IT STILL SUCKS!  Going 65 is like a treat.  It's like getting the large Caramel Frappacino at the end of the week.  Which actually, I don't even get the large Caramel Frappacino anymore.  That is a treat on top of a treat.  And both of those treats aren't happening in my life.  My Spanish class starts at 8 P.M., in South Arlington (TCC Southeast campus), so I leave here at 7:10-7:15.  I get to class like 10 minutes early, so it basically takes me 40 minutes to go from Fort Worth (Rosedale and 35) to Southeast Arlington.  I used to drive from Fort Worth to Dallas in 45 minutes.  So, yeah...

My veganess is not coming along so well.  It is CHEESE!  What am I supposed to put on my chalupa or my taco or my flauta.  It is driving me crazy.  That fake cheese shit, just isn't right.  I can't do it.  We'll see what happens.  I'll keep ya posted.

There has been so much going on around here... I don't want to blow my "load" all in one post.  So, I'll say a few tidbits that are fresh in my mind...

Hannah may be ready to start potty training.  Unfortunately, I don't know if we are ready.
Saw an old acquaintance last weekend, she lives in San Francisco and the thing we talked about most was the weather.  Needless to say, it is way better than anything Texas has to offer.  Jacket-wearing weather, pretty much everyday.  This is something to look into...

On the table for our future is ECAP, an alt. certification program to teach in Texas.  Could be teaching by the time school starts.  Still in the works.

Also, the possibility, a very large possibility that teaching English as a Foreign Language in another part of the world is what is pressing on my mind.  A lot of research to do with this one.  Working with my Spanish Professor to help direct me... More on this as things unravel.

Our 10-year (dating) Anniversary is next Friday, the 27th.  All plans are under wraps.  He'll crack.  Whatever it is, it doesn't matter.  Just us having dinner (without Hannah), a movie, ice cream (that I don't have to share), and uninterrupted conversation will be way worth it.

Jenny and I made Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies last Friday.  They were so good.

Ambien is oh so good.  Sleeping is good too.  Hasn't been much of that going on around here.  I think I need to relax, easier said than done.

I think that is all for now...

Happiness in dirt

Jamie sent me this link. It made me happy.

It was just one of those things

After Jamie and I spent our dinner on our "stoop" enjoying a loving meal, which consisted of Spanikopita, hummus, pita and falafel (the falafel was mostly for Jamie), we decided to watch a movie.  I let Jamie pick, it may have been his turn.  I wasn't sure, but I let him pick because I know it makes him happy.  He chose a documentary, which one was the problem.  We settled on Earthlings.  I'm not sure who recommended it, but we thought it would be good.  I vaguely remember reading about it with Jamie and we thought, "It sounded interesting."

I would almost say, "If you love animals, DON'T watch it!"  But, then when I really think about it, "If you love animals, you SHOULD watch it."  I have never seen anything more moving, eye-opening, outrageous, revolting, painful, tearful or sad.  I cried like a baby in the first fifteen minutes.  I left the room twice and was convinced that I "Couldn't watch anymore," more times than I thought possible in an hour and a half movie.  I made it through it and once it was over and we put the computer away, he said, "I'm proud that you made it through all of it."

Here check it out.  I'm warning you, have a box of tissue near you.  You will need it.

New obessions...

I can't get enough of Gardetto's and their Special Request issue of just Rye Chips!  I think the entire family feels the same way.

School is over and I'm enjoying some time off from the same ol' rigamaroll.  Although, summer school does start May 27th... The idea of this being my last two classes to graduate makes me absolutely giddy.  Hooray!
